Hi, I have only one screen at the moment, screen1, and I wanted to rename it and I have done everything you explained. I create a new file but appinventor does not open the new aia file. What do you think might be the reason? Thx

Thank you! this helped a lot for my app project. I accidentally renamed one of my screens incorrectly, but i just wanted to change the order of my screens and make my new screen the start up screen, so it’s ok.

but one question, I just had the 2 other files, not the yail file, and it still worked in changing the order of my screens. Any idea why?

Hi ..many thanks for the video…For some reason I cannot do it though. When I export my project and open it with 7-zip there are only two files per screen (in your video there are three)… is it normal? I always get error after I import the modified aia file…

I created an App that will copy and rename the Ai2 files much easier.
    Check it out here… https://github.com/saturnknts/MIT-App-Inventor-file-assistant.git
Screen shots there as well. 🙂 Tim

Tried three times… I can’t seem to get it to work. The past Screen1 is always corrupt afterwards.

Thank you it works very well.
I have two different apps (aia)
each installed a screen in my new aia.
The assets I also had to move.
    Runs great.
